I initially booked a double room, but ended up in a single that smelled strongly of damp and mold. Despite this, the room was surprisingly comfy and warm, which was a savior on a freezing night. The service was friendly and helpful, albeit a bit loud. There were cleanliness issues with stained bed covers and hair in the shower, but I still managed to have a great night's sleep and enjoyed a good breakfast. The location was convenient for quick stops, although lacking ambience. The dining options were serviceable but lacking variety, with good service. Overall, a decent stay with some areas needing improvement.

The hotel is conveniently located off the motorway junction, perfect for a stopover while traveling. The rooms may not be very well insulated, but the air conditioning eventually brings them to your preferred temperature. The service is great, just a short walk from Burger King, and they were extremely helpful when we wanted to order takeout. The location is brilliant for travelers and those attending events at Hoghton Tower.
